During the preliminary and main programmes on Wednesday, the Kuipke audience will get an opportunity to see Belgium’s best G-cyclists in action. This includes World Champions Griet Hoet and Anneleen Monsieur, who bid farewell in front of a home crowd.

Griet Hoet and Anneleen Monsieur took two gold medals at the World Championships in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France, last month. At the Lotto Zesdaagse Vlaanderen-Gent, Hoet and Monsieur – who both turned 44 this year – will put an end to their successful careers. As they are both from Ghent, there is no better place imaginable to ride their last lap than ‘t Kuipke!

Besides Hoet and Monsieur, Ewoud Vromant, Niels Verschaeren, Louis Clincke, Jarno Thierens, Diederick Schelfhout, Milan Thomas, Jonas Goeman will also be in action at ‘t Kuipke on Wednesday.
